DesktopMates are animated human like characters that live on your
desktop as your personal interactive companion and assistant capable
of speech and doing tasks for you using Microsoft Agent technology.
DesktopMates can tell you the time at selected preset intervals,
they can verbaly give your local weather report, they will tell you
when new mail has arrived...
Speech engines are available in the following languages: English,
Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese,
Russian and Spanish.
Speech recognition allows you to give commands to your character -
such as launching programs or opening your favorite web page or even
dialing the phone number of a friend or business colleague - using
your microphone.
DesktopMates characters are not stand alone programs that function
by themselves. Take your time to install all required software
components first.
There's an excellent help section available with clear FAQ's and
step-by-step instructions.
Characters can be selected from different categories such as the
main character gallery, the photoreal gallery (animated characters
with facial close ups and expressions so realistic it will seem like
you're interacting with a real person), the bundles gallery and not
to forget the ultra-babes gallery (large format and sexy poses).
